What I Do

I love practicing primitive and historical hand skills. Flint knapping, pottery, spinning, sewing, basketry, paint and ink making, ancient food preservation… Anything I can attempt to make myself directly from the land is something I want to try, along with some of the basics too. (Someday I want to grow my own linen dress though! 😉) I am fascinated with human creativity across time and awed by the inspiration gifted to us by the Creator. This world is just so dang cool!

What I Hope

I hope this site can inspire you to try those crafts or projects you've been putting off. Whether it be time, or space, or lack of materials… I hope I can show it's possible to do the things you love alongside your regular life. Your hobbies don't have to be a special event, you can just do them.

What this Is

I run a YouTube channel in tandem with this blog and there you can find videos about many of my projects. Here is where you'll find bonus information that doesn't make the cut or maybe photo updates. I'll also be sharing writings on a variety of topics, since as it turns out, writing itself is another hobby of mine. In the future I hope to create digital products you’ll actually care about but I’m just getting started for now and will take it slow to make sure it's something we all want.
